On its BBB page the company says it was founded in Massachusetts in 1969 by its current owner and president, Richard H. Hartman, and its website lists local, long-distance and international moving, corporate relocation and storage. A recent customer moving a mile or two down the road praised the prompt and diligent service. A 2026 customer said Hartman unloaded their items in Massachusetts after an interstate move. That 2026 customer hired them again to move out of a second-story apartment into a newly purchased home, and said the owner gave an accurate and detailed estimate and the crew was on time. A 2025 customer said Billy handled the estimate, Kim in dispatch confirmed the date and time, and the two movers were Kyle and Riley. A 2025 customer said the three movers on a move to a new apartment were friendly, polite and efficient. A 2025 customer said they offered to carry everything out into the customer's truck bed. A 2023 customer said the contract set a not-to-exceed price, but after the house closing was pushed back and delivery slipped past 3 p.m., the bill came in over $1,000 higher, including a double-time fee the customer said was never mentioned in the estimate or the contract. That 2023 customer said Bill later pointed to a calculation error and gave a partial refund of a little over $400, and also reported damaged items from careless stacking of labeled fragile boxes and a bed that was reassembled improperly. Its BBB page shows an A+ grade and accreditation. **Strengths:** - An accurate estimate — a 2026 customer called the owner's estimate accurate and detailed - A polite crew — a 2026 customer said the crew followed direction well - Prompt local move — a recent customer praised prompt and diligent service **Concerns:** - Charges over contract — a 2023 customer was billed over $1,000 above a not-to-exceed price - Fragile-box damage — a 2023 customer reported careless stacking and damaged items ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it was founded in Massachusetts in 1969 by its current owner and president, Richard H.
