## The honest read

One customer asked Matt how soon he could start on a Tesla home charger, and he said "I can get it done today" — by 4pm the car was fast charging. Harwinton Electric is a residential electrician whose website lists 200-amp service changes and panel upgrades, EV charger installation, whole-house generators, driveway lighting and surge protection. It names Litchfield, Torrington, Burlington, Harwinton and Hartford as its service area, and holds 5 stars from 179 Google ratings and an A grade from the Better Business Bureau.

One customer had the electrical service upgraded and the panel moved to the other side of the house to bring it up to code and make room for an addition. After old knob and tube wiring turned up, Rick came out to rewire an upstairs bedroom that had lost power and got the power back on.

Mason replaced a power line ripped off one house and fixed that customer's generator at no charge. For a customer whose outside wires were pulling away from the house, Tiffany scheduled the work and got Mason there Monday afternoon. Mason and Matt diagnosed heat coming from one breaker box, worked with Eversource, and swapped the main breaker. One customer said they came out at 10:30pm the Sunday night after the storms.

One customer said Matt put bootie coverings over his shoes coming in from the garage and cleaned up so you would never have known work was done. Matt left one household fresh eggs from the owner's farm. Rick told one customer that a wishlist project was not practical for their budget and gave a quote for a different project without pressure. That customer also said the work was not cheap.

A 2026 customer said Mason helped map out a phased approach for an urgent panel upgrade ahead of a new heating system and a planned addition. That 2026 customer also said their construction company has since used Harwinton Electric on multiple customer projects. A 2025 customer said Mason explained code, had the required hardwired fire and carbon monoxide detectors on his truck, and replaced four outside lights. A 2026 customer called the job decent but was not a fan of how some things were left in the house for the amount paid.

**Strengths:**
- Same-day charger install — a Tesla was fast charging by 4pm
- Panel upgrades — service upgraded and panel moved to meet code
- Storm repairs — power line and outside wires fixed after July 4th
- Shoe covers indoors — Matt covered his shoes and cleaned up after

**Concerns:**
- Cleanup for the price — a 2026 customer disliked how things were left
- Not cheap — a recent customer said so about the work
