## The honest read

A recent customer said the owner, Brian, went into the attic and inspected the roof so his quote would match the final price, and that the company did not charge for one or two extra sheets of plywood over the estimate. HGC Roofing & Siding describes itself on its website as roofing, siding and gutters from Trumbull, plus solar, heating and air, windows and interiors, and says it has been in business three years. It holds 4.9 stars from 33 Google ratings.

A 2025 customer said their old roof was stripped off and the new roof installed in one day. The same 2025 customer wrote that any changes or add-ons were brought to them for approval before work moved forward. A 2026 customer said the company completed the siding on their house, showed up on time every day, and that the crew kept the job site clean.

A 2024 customer with water getting into an electrical system said the company responded on the evening of Memorial Day and installed seven new downspouts before the end of the week. A 2023 customer said the contractor arrived a few hours after a Monday morning call about several roof leaks, showed where the leaks were coming from, and that the roof never leaked after the work. A 2023 customer said HGC repaired their roof after a leak destroyed a couch in the living room, before they had picked out a new one.

**Strengths:**
- Quote matched final price — a recent customer said the owner inspected the attic first
- One-day roof replacement — a 2025 customer said tear-off and new roof took one day
- A Memorial Day response — a 2024 customer said they came that evening for downspouts
- A clean siding job — a 2026 customer said the crew kept the site clean
