On its website, Higher Ground Landscaping says it has provided patios, walkways, pool patios, fireplaces, fire pits, stone walls and stone veneer for over 30 years. Its BBB profile describes a residential and commercial hardscaping company that installs patios, walkways and stone walls and also does snow plowing, and says it was established in Maine in 1998 and employs three people. A recent customer describes a third major project with Caleb Purves, whom the review names as the owner: the first was a stone wall, and the most recent was a bluestone patio in the front of the house. That customer says Caleb worked ahead of schedule and on budget, that the worksite was neat and tidy before and after, and that they also contracted with his son Josiah for the landscaping part of the project. A recent customer who had a new paver patio built says Caleb was a help in the overall design, that the job site was kept clean throughout, and that the pricing was very fair. A recent customer who used Caleb for a hardscape project says they were guided to the quality materials the look required. A recent customer says Caleb and team completed a landscaping project at their home and did not leave until the job was done. A recent customer says Caleb showed up on time, kept everything clean throughout the project and finished when he said he would. **Strengths:** - A bluestone patio — a recent customer's third project with Caleb Purves - On budget — a recent customer says he worked ahead of schedule and on budget - A clean job site — a recent patio customer says it stayed clean throughout - Design help — a recent customer says Caleb helped with the overall design ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company says on its website that it has provided patios, walkways, stone walls and stone veneer for over 30 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://highergroundscapes.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): We know stone.
