When roughly 7.5 inches of rain fell on Westport in about four hours, a recent customer wrote that 'Hightower showed up when no one else would.' That customer said Shane brought in an additional crew from out of state while his local crews were tied up; it arrived around 5 p.m. and stayed until nearly 1 a.m., until the basement was pumped out. The same customer wrote that they installed HEPA filtration and dehumidifiers, applied antimicrobial treatment and removed the damaged material and debris.

The company says it has been in business 43 years, and its website lists biohazard cleanup, storm cleanup, board-up services and post-construction cleanup among its additional services. On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 59 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.

A Ridgefield customer said that after a sump pump failed during heavy rain, the crew removed all the water and put equipment in the basement to dry. A customer with a basement leak said Hightower removed affected drywall and carpet and sprayed black mold. After the flash flood on 7/21/26, a customer said a crew extracted the water from the basement, named Michelle as the project manager who came to the house, and said the company came back the next day to check that the water was drying and moved its fans and dehumidifier.
