## The honest read

In July 2026, a Google reviewer wrote that their closets were tricky because of a timber frame build, and that Donny of Hometown Closet Finishing came out to measure, talk through their vision, and produced mock-ups that were exactly what they wanted. Ordering and installation turned around quickly, the team showed up on time on install day, and the reviewer called Donny's quote the best price of the three places they reached out to.

Hometown Closet Finishing is based in Milton, Vermont, and lists a service area that includes Chittenden, Grand Isle, Franklin and Addison along with Burlington, Montpelier, Stowe and Waitsfield. It offers free estimates and says it is insured. Google shows 5 stars from 7 ratings.

In September 2025 one customer wrote that Donny and crew did their master closet, and another that month called the work neat, efficient and well priced. A January 2025 customer said their expanded closet gave them far more room for their shoes. In June 2024 a reviewer wrote that Donny worked with them on the plan and that the team left the closets clean. In a November 2022 review, a customer said the company had just completed every closet in their house after a year of working together.

**Strengths:**
- Custom closets — Donny designed closets for a 2026 timber frame build
- Pricing — 2026 customer called the quote lowest of three
- Whole-house closets — 2022 customer had every closet done
