## The honest read

When one customer's upstairs central AC quit and needed an under-warranty evaporator coil replaced, Paul checked the warranty, filed the claim, and ordered the part and had it delivered. That is the kind of job HPC Mechanical gets called for: heating and cooling repairs, installs and upkeep around Stamford. The company describes itself as a Stamford-based HVAC contractor handling residential systems and full-scale commercial projects, and its website lists Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Wilton, Westport, Fairfield, Weston and Southport as its service area.

The repair calls are specific. A customer whose furnace was out after a weekend trip said HPC had a technician there within a few hours, and that they diagnosed the issue, went to get the right part and installed it. One customer had the draft inducer motor on the heating system replaced, with technician Brian doing the testing and installation of the new components. John, a technician, diagnosed and repaired one customer's a/c condenser and gave a full report. Brian performed the yearly maintenance on one customer's Mitsubishi units.

Paul's team installed one customer's heat pump quickly. A customer who forgot to get the AC checked before a heat wave said Jon made a small but necessary repair just in time and made recommendations for the summer ahead.

One customer said the company bailed them out two different times, 5 years apart, with same-day service at a reasonable price. One customer said they handled plumbing as well as HVAC for a studio, and that everything passed the same day for codes. One customer called it well worth the cost of the contract.

**Strengths:**
- Warranty coil replacement — Paul checked the warranty and filed the claim
- Fast furnace response — technician there within a few hours
- Heat pump install — Paul's team installed it quickly
- Condenser repair — diagnosed, repaired and a full report given
- Same-day service — reasonable price, two times five years apart
