## The honest read

HY Hardwood Floors, run on Cape Cod by Yurii (sometimes written Yuri), has built its whole reputation on one thing: taking a hardwood floor that's been ignored for decades — scratched, water-stained, yellowed under an old rug — and sanding it back to something a homeowner keeps calling "brand new." Google shows 166 ratings averaging five stars, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each list 36 reviews at a perfect 5.0 — the two are the same set of reviews republished, not independent corroboration.

What shows up review after review is the same short list: he shows up when he says he will, texts photos while the crew works, and gives a fair, upfront estimate before anything starts. In a January 2026 review, a customer said Yurii found and removed stains he'd warned might not come out, then added a kitchen floor to the job mid-project without slipping the schedule or the budget. Several customers have hired him more than once — a homeowner who had him do three rooms and a staircase this summer called it "the third job he's done for us." Clients who live off Cape describe getting videos and photo updates through a whole-house install or a vinyl-floor swap so they could watch the work without being on site. In an August 2025 review, one homeowner said HY took on a tight-timeline refinish that other installers had turned down; in another 2025 review, a customer described Yurii sanding a damaged spot near a sliding door back to new instead of tearing it out and replacing it.
