## The honest read

Inbox Portable Storage rents portable storage boxes: one is dropped at the house, loaded, then stored or delivered to a new address. Its Google listing shows 4.7 stars from 168 ratings, and the company says it has been in business 15 years.

A 2024 customer said it was the only company they could find with 20-foot pods at a reasonable price, and that their things were kept climate controlled for 9 months. A 2024 reviewer said the delivery driver was friendly and the box was bigger for the price than from competitors. A 2022 customer said Angel called in advance, got there at the exact time he said and placed the box in a tight spot. A 2023 customer said an 8x16 box was delivered on time and placed exactly where they wanted it.

A 2024 customer said a box came back after more than a year in storage with a mice infestation, and that it did not fit the driveway despite the measurements they had provided. A 2024 reviewer said blocks placed under the corners of the largest box left 4 depressions in the driveway. A 2025 customer said the pickup was missed and that a charge to insure the pod's contents arrived a week after drop-off; the customer later wrote that the charge was disclosed on page 12 of the contract. A 2023 customer said pickup lead times ran up to one week in some cases.

**Strengths:**
- Large 20-foot pods — a 2024 customer found them only here, reasonably priced
- Tight-spot box placement — a 2022 customer said Angel fit the box in
- Climate-controlled storage — a 2024 customer said things stayed climate controlled 9 months

**Concerns:**
- Driveway damage — a 2024 customer reported 4 depressions from corner blocks
- Mice in storage — a 2024 customer found an infestation after over a year
- A contract charge — a 2025 customer was surprised by it after drop-off
- Slow pickup scheduling — a 2023 customer said up to one week sometimes
