A construction-equipment news site, constructionequipmentguide.com, lists it as an "Eastern Region Winner". A recent customer had a failed retaining wall and lifted pavers from ground water. James Doyle's solution put a drain the full length of the rear property line, changed the Allen block wall to Vertiblocks with another drain under it, and replaced the pavers with a proper base and two additional drains. When the hole for the new wall kept filling with water, a drainage collection pit and sump pump solved it, and that customer reported several heavy rain falls with no water issues. At a recent customer's daughter's house, the work covered a retaining wall, coping around the pool, the pool deck, stone work around the filter and heater, and sod. A recent hydroseeding customer said James explained the next steps for getting the grass to grow, then followed up by text about four weeks later to ask if anything needed a touch-up. A recent patio customer said Jack and Ryan excavated and built the patio and retaining wall, then brought in new top soil and planted grass seed. A recent reviewer writing for the Northwestern CT Transit District said the company handled two massive storms and helped its public transportation services get out on time and safely. Firewood is on offer too: a recent customer got 2 cords delivered, beautifully seasoned. A 2025 customer said they removed a huge tree looming over the house and left everything spotless. A 2025 customer who hired them to trench for a propane line said James contacted CBYD and made two trips, first to dig, then to backfill after inspection. A 2025 customer who hired James to repair a footing drain said the final bill was triple the original quote and that they were given less than an hour to agree to a solution they were not comfortable with. That 2025 customer later added that James apologized but did not do anything to fix it. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0647854, as active, held by Innovative Lawn & Landscape LLC. **Strengths:** - Drainage rebuild — a recent customer saw no water issues after heavy rain - Hydroseeding follow-up — a text weeks later asked if touch-ups were needed - Pool-area hardscape — retaining wall, coping, pool deck and sod at one home **Concerns:** - Footing drain bill — a 2025 customer said it ended triple the quote ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Website lists a service area of Torrington, Litchfield, New Hartford and Goshen _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://innovativect.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Torrington, Litchfield, New Hartford, Goshen” - Listed by constructionequipmentguide.com as an Eastern Region Winner _(confidence: medium)_ - [Local News](https://www.constructionequipmentguide.com/kage-innovation-announces-winners-of-2025-wing-plow-contest/70016) — “constructionequipmentguide.com — Eastern Region Winner: Innovative Lawn & Landscape LLC (Torrington, Conn.)” - 4.9 stars from 112 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Innovative%20Lawn%20%26%20Landscape%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJL9NZeiyZ54kRRmh3szIuhUM) — “Google: 4.9★ from 112 ratings” - Rebuilt a failed retaining wall with drains, a collection pit and sump pump; the customer reported no water issues after heavy rain _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2t0VE1XeHVRM014VEhabllWZHlPRVJXVURVMGFtYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x43852e32b3776846!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOktTMWxuQ3MxTHZnYVdyOERWUDU0amc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We had prior experience with Innovative Lawn and Landscaping LLC.
