## The honest read

J&F Construction is a Medford, MA general contractor that says it's a father-and-son business, founded in 2000 by Jose F. Silva and Fernando J. Silva, doing home and commercial remodeling, additions, dormers, condo conversions and custom homes around Greater Boston. The company says it's licensed and registered in Massachusetts as well as Connecticut and Rhode Island, though none of that was verified against a state registry here.

Federal disclosure records show it received a $111,472 Paycheck Protection Program loan in January 2021.

There isn't yet a written customer record to draw from — worth asking directly for references and proof of current licensing before booking a project.
