Tonnotti Window Company, with Luke handling the consultation and an eight-person crew on the install. The Southington, Connecticut company does windows first, then doors, siding and roofing, and it holds 4.8 stars from 331 ratings on Google; a trade magazine profile says it was founded in Southington in 1999. Repeat customers describe the range. A June 2026 reviewer, hiring the company for the fourth time, had a 27-year-old roof stripped to the plywood and replaced in a single day of almost 11 hours, after earlier jobs on a patio door and several windows. In April 2026, a customer whose rotting roof was collapsing into an unused room had it replaced in one day and a load bearing beam replaced the next. A June 2026 customer had 28 windows and an exterior door replaced in Clinton, CT. In July 2026, the company sourced and installed a custom large atrium window after its seal failed. A May 2026 customer's 15-year-old Harvey window was fixed by Lucas in 10 minutes. A June 2026 reviewer said Joe gave a reasonable quote without cutting the price every hour to push a quick signing, though the windows took a little longer to make than expected. The complaints are about getting a quote. In a 1-star September 2026 review, a customer said it took more than three weeks for someone to come out, that Ava refused to give a written breakdown, and that installation had a 12-week lead time. A January 2025 customer waited about three weeks for an email reply and then had an appointment no-show. An undated BBB review also says the company refused to give a written quote. Its Connecticut HIC licence, HIC.0614190, is active on the state registry. BBB grades it A+. **Strengths:** - Window replacement — 2026 jobs from 14 to 28 windows - One-day roofs — 2026 roofs stripped and replaced in a day - Custom windows — 2026 atrium window sourced and installed **Concerns:** - Slow quotes — 2026 and 2025 customers waited about three weeks - No written breakdown — 2026 customer refused an itemized quote ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.8 stars from 331 ratings on Google _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=J.C.%20Tonnotti%20Window%20Company&query_place_id=ChIJA3XBVZK354kRDzkGtDPLpvw) — “Google: 4.8★ from 331 ratings” - Connecticut HIC licence HIC.0614190 is active, held by J C Tonnotti Window Company _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0614190 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: J C TONNOTTI WINDOW COMPANY” - An August 2026 customer had 14 double hung windows, a french double door and two storm doors installed _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2pSM1ZHVXhMVTVKVVU5ek9IZ3hPRTlUTmpVeFpsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xfca6cb33b406390f!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjR3VGUxLU5JUU9zOHgxOE9TNjUxZlE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ In August, 2026, we contracted with J.C.
