## The honest read

A recent first-time home buyer said the J. Reilly Inspections team explained everything clearly and "kept issues in proper perspective instead of creating unnecessary panic." That customer also said the team helped identify service providers and next steps. A recent customer said Kyle was thorough and communicative through the inspection and gave fair and reasonable estimates on repair costs. A recent customer said Jay was thorough and that they felt confident moving forward with their home purchase after his inspection.

On its BBB profile, the company describes its work as home inspection, structural evaluation, termite inspection, radon testing, water analysis and final walkthroughs, with detailed reports containing full-color photos. Its website says the inspection report is provided the same day. It holds 4.7 stars from 35 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the BBB.

A 2025 customer said Reilly found code violations they never would have thought to look for. A 2024 customer said J had their septic and water tested along with the inspection and provided quick results and a detailed report. A 2024 customer said Reilly was knowledgeable and thorough on the inspection of a 200-year-old house. A 2024 customer who contacted them at 10:30pm on a Sunday about a house in Wilton said they responded right away.

A 2022 customer said Jay spent an entire afternoon inspecting their daughter's house, then went over the whole inspection by phone with her and her husband in New Zealand. A 2022 customer who used J Reilly for two house inspections said they scheduled within two weeks, got there on time and sent the report by end of day.

A 2022 customer gave one star, saying the inspection missed a big issue with the house, that the company did nothing when they reached out, and that they were pursuing it legally.
