A 2024 reviewer said he renovated two decks at their house. A 2024 customer who needed their entire deck redone said JANS and his crew were well priced and on time. A 2024 customer said Jefferson designed and built an outdoor play structure for their cats and finished the project in a day. A 2026 customer said Jefferson gave a detailed estimate upfront for a home entrance project, with no hidden costs, and that the work finished on schedule. A recent customer describes a remodel with chipped or cracked tiles, cracked cabinets and visible sheetrock cracks and patches, and says every window he installed had to be replaced. That customer says there was no response for four months before he came back to finish the job, and that a credit of 500 came off the total still owed. That customer also says they asked that no pictures of the inside of the house go online, and that pictures were posted anyway. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0672165, as active, held by Jans General Contractor LLC. **Strengths:** - A deck build — a 2024 customer said Jefferson and his crew built one - An upfront estimate — a 2026 customer said there were no hidden costs - A one-day build — a 2024 customer said a cat play structure took a day **Concerns:** - Remodel defects — a recent customer describes cracked tiles and cracked cabinets - Slow follow-up — a recent customer says four months passed without a response - Interior photos posted — a recent customer says pictures went online against their wishes ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A 2024 customer said Jefferson and his crew built a deck and replaced a front entry door with trim work _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSUROZ2EzTEJREAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x45980b9f068f3950!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDNga3LBQ%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ JANS general contractors are professional and do top quality work.
