A Google customer in Madison describes a recent project: they excavated overgrown brush and ground cover in a couple of areas next to the house, leveled the soil, planted grass seed and trimmed a large forsythia privet. That customer says the owner responded promptly to the estimate request and was on site within the time he specified, that the work was performed neatly without damaging the existing grass, and that the cost was very reasonable. A 2021 Google customer said the start of their project was delayed without notice and that, for the price, the plants were much smaller than expected. That 2021 customer said that after numerous calls they were told a promised yard cleanup before a wedding event would cost $500, and that the company never followed up on replacing a plant that died. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0664160, held by JC Landscaping LLC, as expired. **Strengths:** - A neat yard job — a customer says the existing grass was left undamaged - A prompt estimate — a customer says the owner responded promptly **Concerns:** - A delayed start — a 2021 customer said it slipped without notice - Follow-up after the job — a 2021 customer said calls went unreturned ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.3-star Google rating from 6 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=JC%20Landscaping%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJwx2nHo_b54kRoQ7u1FnAofg) — “Google: 4.3★ from 6 ratings” - Says it has been in business for 10 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://jclandscapingct.com) — “Self-reported 10 years in business” - A Madison customer describes brush and ground-cover excavation, soil leveling, grass seeding and privet trimming, performed neatly at a very reasonable cost _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tSaVoySXRTM05DYWtGVlpHTmtiVWN6VkhWeE1YYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xf8a1c059d4ee0ea1!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkRiZ2ItS3NCakFVZGNkbUczVHVxMXc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ JC recently completed a project on my home in Madison.
