## The honest read

JFJ Construction Services is a West Haven remodeler with 4.7 stars on both HomeAdvisor and Angi across 62 ratings, and 4.9 on Google from nine. Its written reviews run 2019 to 2023, and two names keep surfacing: George, named in five reviews, and Brenda, named in four, whom one 2020 reviewer calls the owner.

Bathrooms lead the job list. Three 2021 reviews cover bathroom renovations — a shower and floor redone in November 2021, a bathroom reno in December 2021 where George's team worked quickly, and a July 2021 job where George and Alfredo gave design recommendations, kept the site clean each day and Brenda handled last-minute changes; that customer went on to hire the company for two more projects. Other jobs include a 2nd-floor balcony in New Haven in October 2022, where the customer appreciated help securing city permits; a December 2021 backsplash; a January 2020 kitchen remodel and deck; and a July 2019 flooring install the customer said was finished a day earlier than expected. The newest review, from October 2023, said Jorge arrived as planned and the job was completed very quickly.

One review is sharply negative. In January 2020 a customer called George's work poor, said Brenda backed it up, and wrote that the company came up with excuses.

Connecticut lists its home improvement registration HIC.0647892, held by JFJ Construction Services LLC, as active.

**Strengths:**
- Bathroom renovations — three 2021 reviews describe one
- Permit help — a 2022 balcony customer cited help with city approvals
- Clean job sites — six 2020–2021 reviews mention cleanup

**Concerns:**
- Workmanship complaint — a 2020 review called the work poor
