Last 6 months: 7 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Decks built by Kamil Parzych are what JKM Carpentry's customers write about first. The Southington carpentry and renovation company, which says its owner leads every project personally and has over 20 years of hands-on experience, holds 5 stars across 22 Google ratings and 5.0 across 20 on both HomeAdvisor and Angi. Deck reviews run from 2023 to 2026: two composite decks in one back yard (2023), a deck over an existing patio (2025), and in April 2026 two replaced decks with a new portico whose structural work drew compliments from the town inspector. One April 2026 customer said a deck promised for a birthday party was done with time to spare; a May 2026 customer said Kamil was routinely ahead of schedule while waiting on town approvals, and also replaced eight windows at a fraction of a national brand's quoted price. Inside, the work is finish carpentry. A September 2026 review covered doors, window trim, baseboards and cabinets, kept on schedule with a clean workspace each day. A May 2026 customer had crown and custom molding, baseboards, all-new interior doors, a removed wall and a pocket door added, and another described five projects including a kitchen remodel and two custom staircases. An April 2026 review described opening up a staircase to let light reach downstairs: the quote arrived within days, the work took about five days, and Kamil texted whenever he would be late. Reviewers also mention boxed-in beams, a storm door, a front porch, and a 2023 luxury vinyl floor and door installation. One May 2026 reviewer noted they had received cheaper estimates and chose JKM anyway. The company says it offers free estimates. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0669717, is active, held by JKM Carpentry LLC. **Strengths:** - Deck builds — reviews from 2023 to 2026 praise new and replaced decks - Finish trim — 2026 reviews describe crown, baseboards and interior doors - Schedules kept — a 2026 deck finished ahead of a party date ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0669717, held by JKM Carpentry LLC _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0669717 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: JKM CARPENTRY LLC” - 5 stars across 22 Google ratings; 5.0 across 20 ratings on HomeAdvisor and on Angi; reviews from 2023 to 2026 _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=JKM%20Carpentry%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJ48WHL59K06kR01QWL0Md7FM) — “Google: 5★ from 22 ratings” - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.JKMCarpentry.135774670.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 5.0★ from 20 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ct/southington/jkm-carpentry-reviews-1.htm) — “Angi: 5.0★ from 20 ratings” - Deck building and replacement described in reviews from 2023 to 2026, including composite decks and a deck over a patio _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25wYWNVOUlTMWRGUzFNeloydHljRzl2VWxJMk5GRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x53ec1d432f1654d3!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOnpacU9IS1dFS1MzZ2tycG9vUlI2NFE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I highly recommend Kamil and JKM Carpentry.
