## The honest read

J.M.L. Electric is a Wakefield electrician whose calling card is the EV charger install — review after review on Angi describes a Juicebox or Level 2 charger going in cleanly, often alongside a panel upgrade to make room for it, and almost every one names an electrician named John directly.

The company, self-described as in business since 2003, has built a deep, almost unbroken record: 22 Angi reviews dated between 2018 and 2023 run overwhelmingly five-star, with homeowners describing on-time arrivals, competitive quotes against several other electricians, and clear explanations of the work. A 2021 review recounts a full 200-amp service upgrade alongside an EV charger install, bringing the panel up to code and cleaning up the old one; a 2020 review describes an external 240V line run for a car charger finished in half a day. The same review set is mirrored on HomeAdvisor, where it holds 4.9 stars from 24 ratings (96% five-star) — and BuildZoom independently shows 56 permitted projects on file. Its Massachusetts electrician license (#20345) is verified active on the state registry, held by John Michael Lopriore.

One thing worth confirming before booking: the company's own website advertises 24/7 emergency call-out across Eastern Massachusetts, but its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles both list no emergency service. If a middle-of-the-night problem is why you're calling, ask directly rather than assuming.

For an EV charger, a panel upgrade, or general residential electrical work around Wakefield, the record here is about as consistent as they come — the main gap is that most of the written detail dates from 2018 to 2021, so it's worth asking what's changed operationally since.

**Strengths:**
- EV charger installs — repeated Angi reviews praise fast, clean work
- Verified electrician license — active on Massachusetts's registry
- Long track record — established 2003, 56 permitted projects on file

**Concerns:**
- Emergency service unclear — website claims 24/7 call-outs, but Angi/HomeAdvisor list none

**Where sources disagree:**
- The official website advertises 24/7 emergency call-out service, but its Angi and HomeAdvisor profiles both state no emergency service is offered.
