## The honest read

Joe went up on the roof himself, photographed the problem, replaced a damaged rubber collar, secured the flashing and gave a warranty on the repair, without trying to make the job bigger than it was, an August 2026 Google reviewer wrote about a leak at their mother's home. JRS Construction and Roofing says it was founded by Joe Razz, who brings over 30 years of construction and roofing experience, and serves Brookfield, Danbury, Bethel, New Milford, Newtown, Fairfield and New Haven, with free estimates.

It holds 4.9 stars from 77 Google ratings and 4.7 from 54 on Angi, with written reviews from 2020 to 2026. Joe is the name reviewers use, with April in the office named in a 2023 and a 2024 review. In September 2026, a customer said the repair was made the day of the estimate; in May 2026, a reviewer said the new roof cost less than other roofers in the area.

One-day roof replacements show up in the older reviews: a November 2023 reviewer said the roof was done in a day, and a 2021 Angi reviewer said Joe promised one day and the crew delivered. A 2022 Angi customer, facing a winter storm four days out after high winds lifted a ridge vent, had it inspected the next day and fixed by a six-person crew in about an hour. A May 2022 replacement included relocated roof vents and a new shed roof. Other work customers describe includes a deck in 2025 and a damaged chimney repaired with siding and trim work in 2023.

The few softer notes are 4-star reviews from November 2023: one said getting the warranty took time and emails, and another could not say whether the price was good value. A 2023 reviewer whose new roof went on in February 2023 said the crew came back twice for adjustments and responded immediately.

Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0614143, held by Joseph Razz, is listed by the state as active. It has an A+ grade with the BBB and is BBB accredited.

**Strengths:**
- Honest leak repairs — a 2026 customer said Joe fixed only the real problem
- Same-day repair — a September 2026 fix came the day of the estimate
- One-day roofs — 2021 and 2023 reviews describe replacement in a day

**Concerns:**
- Warranty paperwork — a 2023 reviewer said it took time and emails
