## The honest read

Julio's Tree & Lawn Service is a Stratford tree company whose Angi and HomeAdvisor pages each show 5.0 stars from 22 ratings. Its directory profile says it has over 28 years of experience in tree service.

The written reviews are older, running from 2009 to 2017, and they describe the work in detail. In a 2015 review, a customer said Julio's crew took down trees of varying size in the back of the yard and cut them into fireplace sized logs stacked in a corner of the yard. The same crew lifted the tiles of a slate walkway and put them back in place when finished rather than risk cracking them. A 2017 Angi customer wrote that Julio took down a split maple without touching a neighbor's shed and said the other tree was alright. A 2016 customer who needed four very large trees removed ended up having two dropped, and both trees, stumps and all of the wood were removed in one day.

Price comes up in plain terms: a 2016 reviewer called it the best price from 3 estimates, and a 2015 reviewer said Julio gave a very fair price. In a 2015 review, Julio missed the original date because his truck died, kept the customer up to date on the repairs, and was there the next day once the truck was ready. A 2014 customer said Julio had his insurance company send proof of insurance within one day.

**Strengths:**
- Careful removals — 2015 reviews describe no damage near wires, house and walkway
- Thorough cleanup — 2015 and 2016 reviews describe debris and wood hauled away
