A recent customer says Noelle guided them through the process with fast answers on billing despite slow permit responses from their town. That customer says Tony and Troy did the installation in a rainstorm and helped them "edit" a fence so the tank and generator were placed properly. A recent customer reviewing "Kay Electric" says an issue that wasn't the company's responsibility was resolved, so the generator installation was completed on schedule and passed inspection. A recent customer from Trumbull says Kay Generator installed their standby generator. A 2024 customer said David Kay, the owner and engineer, met with them to decide on the logistics. A 2024 reviewer said they shopped around before choosing Kay for a 26KW Generac, and noted that the company also supplies gas tanks and gas connection. A 2025 customer said that after waiting weeks on another generator company, Kay came over within a day, gave a quote and installed a new unit within a week. A 2025 customer said David did not add things to the estimate that they didn't need. A 2023 customer said Kay could do the entire job, including the propane hookup. A recent customer gave one star, saying the company installed undersized gas piping, going by their own research and what the gas company said. A 2025 customer said a semiannual maintenance visit advised replacing their 12-year-old Generac Guardian at a cost of $8,800, and that a second opinion found the problem was a disconnected wire. A 2025 customer said the install was poorly done, the tank tipped because the base was not sufficient, and the company refused to correct it, blaming another company that only delivered the tank. **Strengths:** - Fence edited for placement — a recent customer said Tony and Troy helped - Owner on logistics — a 2024 customer met David Kay to plan logistics - Quick turnaround — a 2025 customer got a quote within a day - Propane hookup — a 2023 customer said Kay did the entire job **Concerns:** - Gas piping size — a recent customer said undersized gas piping was installed - Replacement advice — a 2025 customer's second opinion found a disconnected wire - Tank base — a 2025 customer said a tipped tank was not corrected ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Google: 4.7 stars from 54 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Kay%20Generator%20Company&query_place_id=ChIJoWHZaEsM6IkRN4uvWxgvY6s) — “Google: 4.7★ from 54 ratings” - A recent customer says Tony and Troy installed the tank and generator and helped adjust a fence for placement _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2toa1ZUSjNSR0pvVUhOemFrdFVhMEpzZDE5d09FRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xab632f185baf8b37!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkhkVTJ3RGJoUHNzaktUa0Jsd19wOEE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ The team at Kay Generator Company was top notch!
