## The honest read

KCM Roofing replaces roofs, and one recent Google customer said the crew came, stripped the roof and reshingled it the same day. That customer said Gage explained what the replacement would entail and told them he would come back to finish an electrical de-icer system for winter ice build-up. The company says on its website that it has been in business 18 years and describes asphalt shingle roofing among its work.

The work goes past roofs. A recent Google customer said Gage finished a guest suite above a detached garage, framed for a propane fireplace and finished the fireplace facade. That customer said the project ran into major issues with existing rough-ins between the house and garage, and that Gage did not take advantage of the change orders and expanded scope.

A 2026 Google customer said part of a chimney fell off the roof after a snow storm, and that Gage and his crew came the same day to remove loose bricks and make the area safe. The 2026 customer said they then removed the unused chimney and reroofed that side of the house the next day, and that Gage worked directly with the insurance adjuster on the claim.

In a 2023 HomeAdvisor review, a customer said Gage repaired a roof for $1,500 and returned when water kept leaking around the chimney, first placing the flashing higher and then adding a new cap. That 2023 customer said Gage stuck with his original estimate, and that the attic bucket was dry after the next big rain. A 2023 customer said Gage and his team finished an expanded deck project another contractor had abandoned, making the deck safe and ready to use in five days. A 2023 customer said Gage came out the same day after a basement flooded, stayed within a strict budget and communicated daily through the job.

A 2023 HomeAdvisor customer wrote that he did not finish the job, broke a bulkhead door, overcharged $10000 to replace tile that was in the proposal, and threatened to take the customer to court.

- Leak repair follow-through — a 2023 customer said Gage returned when the chimney kept leaking
- Price held — a 2023 customer said Gage stuck with his original estimate
- Insurance help — a 2026 customer said Gage worked directly with the insurance adjuster

**Concerns:**

- Overcharge dispute — a 2023 customer cited a $10000 overcharge on tile
