On its Houzz profile the company describes itself as a family-owned business that has been building homes since 1933, and its website names Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Redding, Westport, Wilton, Fairfield and Southport as its service area. A 2015 customer described a substantial renovation of a 5,000 sq ft house: a new kitchen, bathrooms, raised ceilings, new electrical and lighting, flooring and closets. That 2015 customer said Tucker Kellogg led the project, worked with them and their designer on mill work and built-ins, and that the job came in within a few percent of budget. A 2015 reviewer said the company built their home in the early 70's and then did a major addition in 2006, while the family lived in the home throughout the construction. That 2015 reviewer said they came back afterward to address minor snagging issues. A 2015 customer said the complete redoing of a sixty year old kitchen was done in a timely manner and within the original budget, and added that Tucker's grandfather built their house in 1952. A 2015 customer said Tucker and his men did an extensive re-do of their home on time and on price. A 2015 reviewer said the company designed and built their home during 2008 - 2009. A 2013 reviewer described Sandy, John and Tucker as third generation builders who grew up building houses. **Strengths:** - Whole-house renovation — a 2015 customer said Tucker Kellogg led a 5,000 sq ft remodel - A kitchen redo — a 2015 reviewer said it stayed within the original budget - A home addition — a 2015 reviewer said the company added on in 2006 ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as a family-owned business building homes since 1933 _(confidence: medium)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/kellogg-brothers-inc-pfvwus-pf~1451478688) — “About (Houzz profile, the business's own statement): Kellogg Brothers, Inc. is a family-owned business that has been building high quality h…” - Its website lists Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Redding, Westport, Wilton, Fairfield and Southport as its service area _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.kelloggbrothers.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Redding, Westport, Wilton, Fairfield, Southport” - A 2015 customer said Tucker Kellogg led a substantial renovation of a 5,000 sq ft house, within a few percent of budget _(confidence: medium)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/kellogg-brothers-inc-pfvwus-pf~1451478688) — “5★ Kellogg did a substantial renovation of our 5,000 sq ft house including new kitchen, bathrooms, raising ceilings new electrical/lighting …” - A 2015 customer said a sixty year old kitchen was redone in a timely manner and within the original budget _(confidence: medium)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/kellogg-brothers-inc-pfvwus-pf~1451478688) — “5★ Our experience with Kellogg Brothers in the complete redoing of our sixty year old kitchen last year was beyond wonderful.
