## The honest read

Ken Lagace Painting has run out of Marstons Mills since 1982, according to BBB's profile — 44 years as a sole proprietorship with Ken Lagace and two employees, handling residential and commercial interior and exterior work plus wallpapering.

The one detailed account on file, a 2022 Google review, describes a smooth interior repaint ahead of a move-in: Ken communicated throughout, the crew (credited to a painter named Joe) did the work well, and they came back afterward to touch up trim and stairs that a separate flooring contractor had left stained. Ken also advised on the right time of year to schedule exterior work around winter weather. The reviewer called the price reasonable.

Before calling, know that the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration tied to this business (#109841) is verified expired with the state — worth confirming current status directly. BBB also lists the business at an A+ grade but not formally accredited.

**Strengths:**
- Responsive fix — returned to touch up trim damaged by another crew
- Clear communication — guided scheduling and updates throughout job

**Concerns:**
- Licence lapsed — Massachusetts HIC registration verified expired

- **5/5 · Google Reviews · Sarah Shaw · 2022-02-24**: Ken was great to work with, and communicated throughout the entire process. We had our interior painted ahead of moving into our new home and the job (done by Joe!) was executed well and they even came back to help touch up our trim and stairs after our floor contractor was sloppy with wood staining…
