The company's own site and BBB listing describe additions, basement finishing, kitchen and bathroom remodels, decks, siding, windows, and interior finish work across southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod. Public permit records tracked by BuildZoom show 49 completed Plymouth-area projects, mostly single-family alterations — finished basements ($49,000–$85,000), a $100,000 addition with first-floor renovation at the company's own Sunrise Ave address, a $90,000 bathroom, laundry room and mudroom renovation, several deck builds, and siding and window replacements — giving the company a BuildZoom score of 98, in the top 16% of Massachusetts contractors. In a 2025 review, a homeowner in the Pinehills described a new pergola build, praising King for meeting before winter, returning in May exactly when promised, and being professional and approachable throughout. BBB records no complaints or government actions against the company. Only one customer review is on file online, but the permit history and long BBB tenure point to an established, licensed local contractor — a reasonable fit for additions, remodels, and outdoor structures in the Plymouth/Cape Cod area. **Strengths:** - Verified track record — BuildZoom permit data shows 49 completed Plymouth-area projects - Long-established business — 16 years in business per BBB, no complaints on file - Pergola build — a 2025 review praised on-time work and follow-through - Licensed contractor — active MA HIC license verified with the state registry - BBB accredited — A+ grade since 2012 **Where sources disagree:** - BuildZoom's licensing note (from a 2019 verification) states this contractor does not require a license in Massachusetts, but the state registry shows an active MA HIC license (165785) held by King Construction & Renovation LLC. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - MA Home Improvement Contractor license 165785 is registry-verified and active, held by King Construction & Renovation LLC. _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 165785 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: King Construction & Renovation LLC” - BBB records the business as A+ accredited since 2012, a sole proprietorship started in 2010 with one employee, owned by Greg King, with no complaints or government actions on file. _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/plymouth/profile/home-improvement/king-construction-renovation-0021-128847) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/plymouth/profile/home-improvement/king-construction-renovation-0021-128847) — “Better Business Bureau: accredited / certified / member” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/plymouth/profile/home-improvement/king-construction-renovation-0021-128847) — “BBB's profile for King Construction & Renovation at 26 Sunrise Ave, Plymouth MA gives an A+ rating and records it as BBB Accredited since 7/…” - BuildZoom permit records show 49 completed Plymouth-area projects, giving the company a BuildZoom score of 98, in the top 16% of Massachusetts contractors. _(confidence: high)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/king-construction-and-renovation) — “49 project(s) shown on BuildZoom” - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/king-construction-and-renovation) — “BuildZoom's profile for King Construction and Renovation at 26 Sunrise Ave, Plymouth MA gives a BuildZoom score of 98 (top 16% of 139,240 Ma…” - In a 2025 review, a homeowner described a pergola build where King returned exactly when promised and was professional throughout. _(confidence: high)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/king-construction-and-renovation) — “5★ Couldn't be happier with my new pergola.
