--- title: "KINGSWOOD MASONRY AND ROOFING" description: "Kingswood Masonry and Roofing is a masonry, chimney and roofing contractor with a Massachusetts address; Angi and HomeAdvisor list it in Boston at 201 Wash" doc_version: "2026-09-18" last_updated: "2026-09-18" --- # KINGSWOOD MASONRY AND ROOFING **Trade:** Masonry · **Languages:** English **Rating: 1.9/5** (low confidence) — from 1 reviews across 4 sources. ## The honest read Kingswood Masonry and Roofing is a masonry, chimney and roofing contractor with a Massachusetts address; Angi and HomeAdvisor list it in Boston at 201 Washington St, while its Better Business Bureau file lists a Waltham address instead. The one customer account on file, from 2022, describes a job that went well: quick to respond, professional, and fair on price. That review is echoed identically across Angi and HomeAdvisor, which appear to be mirror listings of the same account rather than two independent confirmations. Two things are worth knowing before calling. The Better Business Bureau grades the business F, citing a failure to hold a required competency license and a failure to respond to two complaints filed against it; BBB's own file lists no real license number. And the tenure claims don't add up: Angi and HomeAdvisor both advertise '26 years of experience' or 'Over 40 Years of Experience,' but BBB's file shows the business itself was started in 2023, only a few years ago. Given the BBB rating and the licensing gap, confirm current licensing and insurance directly with the company, and verify any tenure claims independently, before booking. **Strengths:** - Responsive on the one job reviewed — called quick, professional, and fair on price **Concerns:** - BBB F rating — cites no required licence and two unanswered complaints - Tenure overstated — directories claim 26-40 years; BBB shows a 2023 start **Where sources disagree:** - Angi and HomeAdvisor give a Boston, MA address (201 Washington St); the Better Business Bureau file gives a different address in Waltham, MA. - Angi and HomeAdvisor advertise 26 to over 40 years of experience; the Better Business Bureau's file shows the business was started in 2023. - Angi and HomeAdvisor carry identical review text, tenure copy and service lists, consistent with a single mirrored listing rather than two independent sources. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The Better Business Bureau grades this business F, citing a failure to hold a required competency license and a failure to respond to two complaints filed against it _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/waltham/profile/mason-contractors/kingswood-masonry-and-roofing-0021-558220) — “Better Business Bureau grade: F” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/waltham/profile/mason-contractors/kingswood-masonry-and-roofing-0021-558220) — “BBB profile for a Waltham, MA masonry/roofing contractor with an F letter grade (not accredited), citing failure to hold a required competen…” - BBB's file lists no real licence number for this business (recorded as '0') _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/waltham/profile/mason-contractors/kingswood-masonry-and-roofing-0021-558220) — “Licence listed on Better Business Bureau: BBRS licence number 0, issued by Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards” - Angi and HomeAdvisor advertise '26 years of experience' and 'Over 40 Years of Experience', but BBB's file shows the business was started in 2023 _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/waltham/profile/mason-contractors/kingswood-masonry-and-roofing-0021-558220) — “BBB profile for a Waltham, MA masonry/roofing contractor with an F letter grade (not accredited), citing failure to hold a required competen…” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/boston/kingswood-masonry-and-roofing-reviews-10444744.htm) — “Angi profile for a Boston, MA masonry/roofing contractor (201 Washington St), marked 'Not Angi Approved', one 5-star review, and conflicting…” - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.kingswoodmasonryandroofing.156636687.html) — “HomeAdvisor profile for a Boston, MA masonry/roofing contractor (201 Washington St) offering emergency services and free estimates, one 5-st…” - One 2022 review, mirrored identically on Angi and HomeAdvisor, describes quick, professional, fairly priced work _(confidence: medium)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/boston/kingswood-masonry-and-roofing-reviews-10444744.htm) — “Kingswood was very professional and quickly responded.
