Its Angi profile says the family-owned, veteran-owned company has been in business since 1996, with Mike and Jesse Dugan named in customer accounts and 17 recent projects shown. The written reviews are unusually specific about cabinet work. In a January 2025 Angi review, a homeowner described a refacing project that made the kitchen look new, praised the design guidance and craftsmanship, and said the crew kept the area clean each day. A July 2024 review described a changed floor layout, repeated design discussions, added customization, and close attention to detail; the customer also praised the team's responsiveness. An undated HomeAdvisor review is a different kind of endorsement: although the homeowner's budget was too limited to hire the firm, Mike still spent time explaining options and steering them away from an unsuitable approach. The platform numbers are strong but cover different totals: Angi shows 5.0 from 181 ratings, while HomeAdvisor shows 5.0 from 192. Before booking, pin down the scope of the cabinet work, the design changes included, and which parts of a broader kitchen project are handled by the company or by other trades. This is a sensible fit for homeowners seeking cabinet refacing, re-facing modifications, or custom cabinetry with a broader kitchen update. Ask for a written scope and timeline that separates cabinet work from any related trades. **Strengths:** - Cabinet refacing — detailed praise for design, workmanship, and results - Project communication — reviewers cite responsiveness and careful planning - Daily cleanup — recent customer described a tidy worksite **Where sources disagree:** - Angi reports 181 ratings; HomeAdvisor reports 192 reviews. ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Based in Norton, Massachusetts; the company says it has been in business since 1996 and is family-owned and veteran-owned. _(confidence: high)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “Stated ownership (Angi): Family-owned, Veteran-owned” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “Angi shows an approved, family-owned and veteran-owned Norton kitchen remodeling business with a 5.0 rating from 181 reviews, 30 years in bu…” - Cabinet refacing, refinishing, and commercial cabinet refinishing are listed services. _(confidence: high)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “Services offered (Angi): Cabinets Reface, Cabinets Refinish, Commercial Cabinet Refinishing Service” - Angi shows 17 recent projects. _(confidence: high)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “17 project(s) shown on Angi” - Angi shows 5.0 stars from 181 ratings, including 99% five-star and 1% one-star ratings. _(confidence: high)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “Angi: 5.0★ from 181 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “Angi star distribution: 99% 5★ · 1% 1★ (of 181 ratings)” - HomeAdvisor shows 5.0 stars from 192 reviews. _(confidence: high)_ - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/c.Cabinets.Cranston.RI.-12009.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 5.0★ from 192 ratings” - A January 2025 reviewer described a seamless kitchen refacing, skilled crew, design guidance, top-notch craftsmanship, and daily cleanup. _(confidence: high)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ma/norton/kitchen-tune-up-southeast-mass-and-rhode-island-reviews-340440.htm) — “5★ We recently had our kitchen refaced by Jesse Dugan, Kitchen Tune-Up and we couldn't be happier with the results!
