## The honest read

A recent Klebe Fuel customer had been with the company for about five years — it serviced their old boiler and delivered their oil and propane — before hiring it to remove that boiler and the oil storage tank and install a propane boiler. That customer said the work was done on time and on budget and called the crew professional, efficient and friendly. The company's website names Plainville and Torrington as its service area, and trade publications have reported that Sail Energy acquired Klebe Fuel.

A 2025 customer on automatic refill said the drivers never missed them or left them without oil or propane. A 2024 customer said Klebe delivered oil the same day after another company had canceled their delivery twice over snow on the driveway. A 2025 customer who needed an oil tank for a newly bought home said Jason came out on short notice to see the area and the tank, and his team got them in for a replacement in less than 2 weeks.

A 2025 customer said technician Carl went out after midnight on a very cold night and stayed until 4:00 a.m. to be sure the furnace kept running and their tenant had heat, after an earlier technician had pressed the reset button and left. A recent customer called the service tech polite and neat and said the area was cleaned.

A 2026 customer reporting a propane leak at a standby generator said promised repair visits passed with no one arriving, and that they waited on hold until 4:48 before hanging up. A 2026 customer whose landlord had the house set for auto fill said no one came for a month and they ran out of oil, and that it took three days of phone calls to get someone out. A 2026 customer said they had heard Matt had retired and sold the company, and hoped the same customer service would continue.

A 2025 customer said technicians were pleasant and skilled but office service was poor, with billing errors and calls about scheduling service going unreturned. A 2025 customer said four technicians came out and replaced parts while the heat kept quitting after a few days. A 2025 customer said a price quoted over the phone differed from what was billed, no invoice with the agreed price was left in writing, and a stored credit card number was used without authorization.

**Strengths:**
- Propane boiler conversion — a recent customer said it was on time and on budget
- Automatic oil refill — a 2025 customer said drivers never left them without oil
- Same-day oil delivery — a 2024 customer got oil after another company canceled
- After-midnight furnace call — a 2025 customer said Carl stayed until 4:00 a.m. on site
- Oil tank replacement — a 2025 customer was booked in less than two weeks

**Concerns:**
- Missed repair visits — a 2026 customer said a propane leak repair kept slipping
- Missed automatic fill — a 2026 customer said they ran out of oil
- Office follow-through — a 2025 customer cited billing errors and unreturned calls
- Repeat heating repairs — a 2025 customer said four technicians came as heat kept failing
- Propane delivery wait — a 2026 customer was told two weeks for a delivery
