## The honest read

When a power vent went on one customer's furnace, they called Jeff at 5pm on a Monday, sent him a video and a photo of the make and model, and had a quote and an appointment within 30 minutes. The furnace was fixed Wednesday morning, and that customer said the price was $200 less than a previous quote from a bigger firm.

KMG Mechanical is a heating and cooling company; on its BBB page it describes itself as serving New Hampshire and southern Maine. Its website lists boiler and furnace repair, mini split and heat pump installation, water heater installation, central air repair, gas piping and HVAC inspections, and the company says it has been in business 10 years. The state registry shows KMG Mechanical, LLC's New Hampshire mechanical business licence, MBE2501751, as active, along with an active individual licence, GF1206577, held by Jeffrey D Gagnon.

One customer said Jeff installed a mini-split system for an ADU being built for the reviewer's father-in-law, helped choose the system and layout, and left the work area spotless. A customer who had a new Samsung mini-split heating and cooling system put in said Jeff made sure everything was installed correctly and tested before the job was complete. After three other companies wanted to replace a customer's entire AC unit, Jeff determined only the compressor needed replacing and installed the parts the day they arrived. A customer with a forced hot water heat system said Jeff found a problem three other plumbers missed. One household had its oil tank replaced on short notice, and another said KMG came out the same day for a leaking furnace.
