A landscape trade article quotes Doug Knotts as the owner of Knott's Land Care in Amherst, New Hampshire. In a 2025 review, a customer said a very professional and attentive team did a great job with a patio and retaining wall around their pool. In a 2024 review, a customer said they had used Knott's for both lawn care and snow removal, and that customer called its quotes fair and competitive. In another 2024 review, a customer said their company's lawn had looked 100% better since Knott's started. In a recent review, a customer says Knott's was paid $7900 to install plantings adjacent to a newly built house under a contract with a one-year warranty, that some plants died in less than a year, and that numerous calls asking the company to honor the contract received no response. A recent review from someone who lives in a rental complex says the company did half the complex and left the other half unmowed, did not do the edging, ignored a few mulch beds at spring clean up, and later had not been by to mow in 3 weeks. **Strengths:** - Patio and retaining wall — 2025 customer said the pool patio looks fantastic - Lawn care quotes — 2024 customer called its quotes fair and competitive **Concerns:** - Planting warranty — recent customer says dead plants went unaddressed despite calls - Missed mowing — recent resident says half a rental complex went unmowed ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it has provided land care, design and build services to residential and commercial clients since 2004 _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://knottslandcare.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): We have been providing excellence in professional land care, design and build services to residential and c…” - Rated 3.5 stars on Google from 29 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Knott's%20Land%20Care%2C%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJF75Yg-HJ44kR-_8QHRBjHD8) — “Google: 3.5★ from 29 ratings” - In a 2025 review, a customer said the team did a great job with a patio and retaining wall around their pool _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://maps.google.com/?cid=4547618644595638267&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “5★ Very professional and attentive team did a great job with a patio and retaining wall around our pool.
