## The honest read

Lakota Builders & Associates says on its Houzz profile that it was founded in 1995 by Michael and Nicole Davis, and that Michael has over twenty years of carpentry experience. On its BBB page the company describes itself as offering new home construction, custom remodeling and restoration, specializing in finish carpentry and millwork installations.

A 2018 Houzz customer said Lakota Builders was managing their second renovation project, a small master bath. That 2018 customer said Mike met them early on at a tile supplier to help choose the shower and floor tile, and that his team minimized the mess during demolition. A 2018 Houzz reviewer wrote that Lakota Builders renovated their house and coordinated with their architect and designer. In a 2015 Houzz review, a reviewer who provided architectural services to Mike Davis of Lakota Builders described several projects over 8 years, one a new home and the others renovations or additions.

A 2018 Houzz customer said Mike had a lot of jobs in the area because of a tornado but came through for them in their home. A 2016 Angi customer said the project finished on time. A 2011 Angi customer wrote, "cleaned up after work, was kept informed on my project."

On Houzz the company holds 5.0 stars from 5 ratings, and on Angi 5.0 stars from 3 ratings. A preservationct.org page lists Lakota Builders & Associates alongside the Town of Greenwich and several architects.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0629124, as expired, held by Lakota Builders & Associates LLC.

- Master bath renovation — a 2018 customer said demolition kept the mess down

- On-time finish — a 2016 Angi customer said the project finished on time
