# Lehmann Construction, Inc. **Trade:** Carpentry · **Address:** 3 Wallis Court, Suite 10, Lexington, MA 02420 · **Phone:** (617) 834-9844 · **Website:** https://lehmannconstructioninc.com · **Languages:** English **Rating: 3.7/5** (low confidence) — from 0 reviews across 4 sources. ## The honest read Lehmann Construction is a finish-carpentry subcontractor based in Lexington, Massachusetts, working senior living, multi-family and commercial jobs — kitchens, bathrooms, doors, running trim, closets and stairs. The company says it also handles preconstruction, design coordination, project management and closeout on commercial builds. Clayton Lehmann founded the company in 2017 and is its President; Suellen Heidorn is Co-Owner and Vice President. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license (#205143) is active on the state registry, and the company also holds an active Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise certification through 2028. The Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade, though it is not BBB-accredited; BuildZoom lists the same license number and assigns the company a score of 90. Because its work is mostly commercial subcontracting rather than direct residential projects, a homeowner considering Lehmann should ask about residential experience and get a clear, written scope before hiring. **Strengths:** - BBB A+ grade — despite no BBB accreditation - Active state license — Massachusetts HIC 205143 - Minority Business certification — active through 2028 ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - The company was founded in 2017 _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/lexington/profile/construction/lehmann-construction-inc-0021-554514) — “BBB profile for Lehmann Construction, Inc. at 3 Wallis Court, Suite 10, Lexington, MA 02420, phone (617) 834-9844, under Construction: rated…” - [nerej.com](https://nerej.com/2026-industrial-review-featured-company-lehmann-construction) — “nerej.com — Main Services: Finish Carpentry Year Founded: 2017 States Served: MA, NH, RI” - Clayton Lehmann is Founder and President and Suellen Heidorn is Co-Owner and Vice President, per the company's own site _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.lehmannconstructioninc.com) — “Ownership (self-reported): Clayton Lehmann is Founder & President; Suellen Heidorn is Co-Owner and Vice-President.” - Works primarily as an interior finish carpentry subcontractor on senior living, multi-family and commercial projects — kitchens, bathrooms, doors, running trim, closets and stairs _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://lehmannconstructioninc.com) — “Lehmann Construction Inc of Lexington, MA is an interior finish carpentry subcontractor working senior living, multi-family and commercial p…” - Also offers preconstruction, design coordination, project management, finish carpentry and millwork installation, and closeout services as a commercial construction subcontractor _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.lehmannconstructioninc.com) — “Lehmann Construction Inc presents itself as a commercial construction subcontractor providing preconstruction, design coordination, project …” - Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license #205143 is active on the state registry _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 205143 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: Lehmann Construction Inc” - Holds an active Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise certification, expiring 2028-05-05 _(confidence: high)_ - [Diversity Certification Registry](https://diversitycertification.mass.gov/BusinessDirectory/BusinessDirectorySearch.aspx) — “Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification 20210333 verified active — registry holder of recor…” - Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade, though it is not BBB-accredited _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/lexington/profile/construction/lehmann-construction-inc-0021-554514) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/lexington/profile/construction/lehmann-construction-inc-0021-554514) — “BBB profile for Lehmann Construction, Inc. at 3 Wallis Court, Suite 10, Lexington, MA 02420, phone (617) 834-9844, under Construction: rated…” - BuildZoom lists Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license #205143 for the company and assigns it a score of 90 _(confidence: medium)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/lehmann-construction-inc-lexington-ma) — “BuildZoom profile for Lehmann Construction Inc at 3 Wallis Ct Suite 10, Lexington, MA, phone (617) 834-9844, naming Clayton Lehmann as owner…” - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/lehmann-construction-inc-lexington-ma) — “BuildZoom identifies Lehmann Construction Inc at 3 Wallis Court in Lexington, reports a BuildZoom score of 90, and lists an active Massachus…” - Specializes in Carpentry _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://lehmannconstructioninc.com) — “Lehmann Construction Inc of Lexington, MA is an interior finish carpentry subcontractor working senior living, multi-family and commercial p…” - [Official Website](https://www.lehmannconstructioninc.com) — “Lehmann Construction Inc presents itself as a commercial construction subcontractor providing preconstruction, design coordination, project …” - [nerej.com](https://nerej.com/2026-industrial-review-featured-company-lehmann-construction) — “nerej.com — Main Services: Finish Carpentry Year Founded: 2017 States Served: MA, NH, RI” ## Ownership - **Certified minority-owned** — verified against Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office (MBE #20210333, verified 2026-08-12).
