## The honest read

Life Tree Services LLC is a Stamford, CT tree company. Its directory listings describe tree cutting and removal, stump grinding, trimming and pruning, tree lights installation and storm emergency work, and its website lists Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, Westport, Bridgeport, New Canaan, Darien and Wilton and says it offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0 stars from 8 ratings, and Thumbtack 5.0 from 2.

Its written reviews date from 2023 to July 2025. In an April 2025 Angi review, a customer said a dead apple tree in the far corner of a fenced yard could only be reached through a gate off a deck, with no room for heavy equipment, and Roul and his team took it down by hand and left the site clean. A February 2025 customer said Melvin and his crew finished the project on schedule at very fair pricing. In an August 2024 review, a customer said the crew took down the tree, cut it for firewood and removed the leaves and branches. In a June 2023 Thumbtack review, a customer said Melvin removed a large dead tree and was organized and efficient.

Thumbtack lists it as background checked.

**Strengths:**
- Hand work in tight yards — a 2025 crew took down a tree with no equipment access
- Thorough cleanup — 2024 and 2025 customers described the site left clean
