## The honest read

Lifetime Chimney & Roofing Service does chimney and roof work. On its website the company names chimney inspection, chimney repairs, chimney replacement, free roof inspection, roof repairs and roof replacement among its jobs, and it lists Hartford, New Haven, Litchfield, Tolland, Middlesex, Fairfield, New London and Avon as its service area.

On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 135 ratings. A recent customer said their fireplace looks beautiful. A recent reviewer called it clean, delicate work.

A 2025 reviewer wrote that Julius replaced the flashing around the chimney and sealed the area. A 2025 customer whose chimney flashing was rusted through said the company inspected the roof too and said it was still in decent shape for now. A 2025 customer who had just bought a house wrote that Joe got on the roof, did a full inspection and found things the inspector missed, then gave a fair quote for the chimney crown and chimney topper. A 2025 customer wrote that Rob repaired the fireplace, replaced the back and did a full cleaning.

A 2025 customer had a roof fully replaced in Hartford and said the team showed up on time, matched the shingle color and cleaned up. A 2025 customer with a home in Westport said that after leaks from the gutters they came the same day, gave a free inspection, and had everything installed three days after the first visit. A 2025 customer said the gutter replacement cost $2000 when other companies would not go below $3000. A 2025 customer with damaged siding said they were told straight up what could be fixed and what needed replacing, and that the guy explained how insurance might cover part of it.

A 2026 customer said the communication was clear the entire time.

**Strengths:**
- Chimney flashing repair — a 2025 customer said Julius sealed the area around the chimney
- A thorough roof inspection — a 2025 customer said Joe found things the inspector missed
- A low gutter price — a 2025 customer paid $2000 against $3000 elsewhere
