## The honest read

Lincoln Gardens Landscape Construction does landscaping work, and on Angi the company says its services cover Lincoln and the surrounding townships. A story on valleybreeze.com described Steven Popovich with his grandsons Jacob and Alex, who created a new landscaping construction division of Lincoln Gardens.

A 2017 customer said Jake and his team came with an excavator and skid steers to demolish a swimming pool in the backyard, fill it with dirt, add loam soil and hydro-seed. That 2017 customer also said Jake gave a guarantee for his work. A 2017 customer wrote that the company worked within the budget and transformed overgrown foundation shrubs. In a 2017 review, a customer said a large area of the yard was loamed and reseeded, rain held things up, and the grass came in well. A 2017 customer said they cut and trimmed the lawn and arrived each week without having to be called.

A 2017 Houzz customer said a rebuilt block wall came out 2½ inches too short and did not match the wall built the year before; Jake told the customer they would come out and deal with it, but later calls and voicemails went unanswered. A 2016 customer said the job was completed quickly once they arrived, but they were a no call no show on the first scheduled date.

**Strengths:**
- Backyard pool removal — a 2017 customer described demolition, fill, loam and hydro-seed
- Shrub work within budget — a 2017 customer said overgrown foundation shrubs were transformed
- Weekly lawn visits — a 2017 customer said they arrived each week without a call

**Concerns:**
- Wall fix follow-up — a 2017 Houzz customer said calls went unanswered
- A missed first date — a 2016 customer described a no call no show
