## The honest read

In an April 2023 review, a homeowner described having honey-oak hardwood stained to a darker color across their main floor and wrote that the stain brought out the grain in the wood. That is the work LN Flooring Solutions is hired for out of Quincy: sanding, refinishing and re-coloring hardwood, patching it, and laying new floor when a room calls for it — one November 2020 customer had roughly 1,000 square feet of engineered hardwood put down in a condo and said the crew finished exactly when they said they would.

Liam — reviewers also spell it Liem and Lien — is named in most of the accounts, usually alongside his crew. A February 2024 customer called him neat, clean and organized and pointed to his knowledge of flooring. A January 2024 homeowner said he was the seventh contractor to quote their kitchen and bathroom renovation and that his communication was on point from day one. Back in December 2020, a reviewer described him taking the time to explain the materials he uses at each stage of a refinish and the pros and cons of some popular brands.

Scheduling and cleanup carry a lot of the praise. A May 2022 customer said the crew kept to the schedule they had established and left the place immaculate; an October 2020 reviewer said he cleaned up afterwards and threw in a couple of small tasks for free; a September 2023 Thumbtack customer with a narrow window to get a floor polished said Liam made space at short notice. In March 2021, after a painter scuffed a freshly refinished floor, the customer wrote that Liam came right away and cleaned up the mess.

Price is the one place a customer pushed back: in September 2020 a homeowner who hired LN to fix an error another contractor left behind said they were not thrilled with the cost, and noted it ran higher than usual because the small job needed two separate visits. The written accounts run from 2020 into early 2024; ask for a recent reference or two when you call.

For a sand-and-refinish, a stain color change, or a patch where a wall came out, this is a straightforward call. Ask how many visits your job needs and what that does to the price, and get the schedule and the finish you have agreed on in writing.
