The written record here is thin: a single Google review, dated 2020, is the only public account. That reviewer described a rough scheduling experience — a 3:30–4:30 p.m. appointment window that slipped to 8 p.m., then another day lost waiting for parts, before the job was finally finished — and was surprised to see an $85 service charge billed separately after being told it would count toward the repair cost. That's the only third-party account on file, so there isn't enough written history yet to say whether it was typical or a one-off. The company also states OSHA-30 safety training and EPA Lead-Safe certification for work in older buildings — credentials worth confirming directly, since they're self-reported rather than something verified here. Worth a call if you want a neighborhood shop with a licensed master electrician on every job, but pin down the appointment window in writing and ask upfront exactly how any diagnostic or service fee gets applied before work starts. **Strengths:** - Owner-led shop — a licensed master electrician runs every job - Safety credentials — states OSHA-30 and EPA Lead-Safe certification **Concerns:** - Appointment slipped — a 2020 review cited hours-late arrivals over two days - Surprise fee — same review said an $85 charge wasn't applied as promised ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Family-owned and operated, run by master electrician Alec Sae _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.longwoodcertifiedelectricians.xyz) — “Ownership (self-reported): Owner-operated by Alec Sae, a Massachusetts master electrician” - [Official Website](http://www.longwoodcertifiedelectricians.xyz) — “Stated ownership (self-reported): Family-owned” - States it covers electrical work throughout Boston, including 24/7 emergency calls _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.longwoodcertifiedelectricians.xyz) — “A neighborhood electrical contractor based in Boston's Longwood Medical Area offering residential wiring, panel upgrades, code compliance wo…” - [Official Website](http://www.longwoodcertifiedelectricians.xyz) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Boston” - States OSHA-30 safety training and EPA Lead-Safe certification for work in older buildings _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://www.longwoodcertifiedelectricians.xyz) — “Stated certification/affiliation: OSHA-30 Safety Certified” - [Official Website](http://www.longwoodcertifiedelectricians.xyz) — “Stated certification/affiliation: EPA Lead-Safe Certified” - A 2020 Google review described a service appointment that slipped from an afternoon window to 8 p.m., with required parts missing and the job not finished until the next afternoon _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://maps.google.com/?cid=3827285996547134373&g_mp=CiVnb29nbGUubWFwcy5wbGFjZXMudjEuUGxhY2VzLkdldFBsYWNlEAIYBCAA) — “1★ Late service and overpriced!
