A wmtw.com news story named Alex Lord as its owner and said the company specializes in air sealing, and a greenmainehomes.com article quoted him as the owner of Lord Building Solutions in North Yarmouth on AeroBarrier sealing. The company's website lists air sealing, Aeroseal, air leakage testing, blower door testing and duct blasting, and says it has been in business 18 years. A 2025 Google customer said they hired Alex to run a "whole energy upgrade" on a 1970s home: adding insulation, replacing outdated insulation, ventilating bathrooms, bringing plumbing and electrical up to code and installing heat pumps to replace electric heat. That 2025 customer said the heat pump tracks through the walls were sheetrocked, mudded and repainted, and that the two-week timeline estimate was right on track. The same 2025 reviewer wrote that Alex or his counterpart Rufus was on site at all times to oversee subcontractors, and that each day started with protecting the floors and ended with sweeping and mopping. A 2025 customer said they worked with Alex on an Aeroseal during a whole home renovation and that he kept to the agreed schedule. A 2024 customer said they had air sealing and new insulation done throughout the home, and that Alex Lord and his crew explained everything and finished the work quickly. **Strengths:** - A whole energy upgrade — a 2025 customer said the two-week timeline stayed on track - On-site oversight — a 2025 customer said Alex or Rufus was always on site - Daily cleanup — a 2025 customer said each day ended with sweeping and mopping - A schedule kept — a 2025 customer said Alex kept to the agreed schedule - Everything explained — a 2024 customer said Alex Lord and his crew explained everything ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Alex Lord is named as the owner of Lord Building Solutions in local news coverage _(confidence: high)_ - [Local News](https://www.wmtw.com/article/clean-energy-rebates-are-guaranteed-federal-tax-credits-uncertain/63744188) — “wmtw.com — said Alex Lord, the owner of Lord Building Solutions, which specializes in air sealing.” - [Local News](https://greenmainehomes.com/blog/air-control-the-balance-of-airtightness-and-ventilation) — “greenmainehomes.com — “AeroBarrier can fill holes the size of a human hair,” says Alex Lord, owner of Lord Building Solutions in North Yarmo…” - Air sealing is the company's stated specialty in a wmtw.com news story _(confidence: medium)_ - [Local News](https://www.wmtw.com/article/clean-energy-rebates-are-guaranteed-federal-tax-credits-uncertain/63744188) — “wmtw.com — said Alex Lord, the owner of Lord Building Solutions, which specializes in air sealing.” - The company's website lists air sealing, Aeroseal, air leakage testing, blower door testing and duct blasting _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://lordbuildingsolutions.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Air Sealing Air Sealing FOR CONSTRUCTION PROS Air Sealing FOR HomeOwners AEROSEAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION…” - The company says it has been in business 18 years _(confidence: low)_ - [Official Website](https://lordbuildingsolutions.com) — “Self-reported 18 years in business” - A 2025 customer described a whole energy upgrade on a 1970s home, with insulation, bathroom ventilation and heat pumps, on a two-week timeline that stayed on track _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xSb2FVdHZNazk1UTJsaE5qVmFORmh5WnpoWlVsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5f7ad3b169779b0a!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlRoaUtvMk95Q2lhNjVaNFhyZzhZUlE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ After very detailed site visits, proposals and conversation with Alex, I hired him to facilitate a “whole energy upgrade” on my 1970’s (n…” - A 2025 customer said Alex or his counterpart Rufus was on site at all times to oversee subcontractors _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xSb2FVdHZNazk1UTJsaE5qVmFORmh5WnpoWlVsRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5f7ad3b169779b0a!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlRoaUtvMk95Q2lhNjVaNFhyZzhZUlE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ After very detailed site visits, proposals and conversation with Alex, I hired him to facilitate a “whole energy upgrade” on my 1970’s (n…” - A 2025 customer said Alex kept to the agreed schedule on an Aeroseal job _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnTURBMWJXVldBEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0x5f7ad3b169779b0a!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgMDA1bWVWA%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ I worked with Alex to do an Aeroseal on my whole home renovation.
