Last 6 months: 3 reviews, 2 negative. ## The honest read A roof done in 2019 is now buckling, an October 2026 Google reviewer wrote, and M&J Roofing Services did not show up for the appointment to inspect it, despite a ten year labor warranty. Missed visits come up in other reviews of the Waterbury roofer too: a May 2026 customer set up a time for pricing on new construction and nobody came, a November 2024 reviewer whose 2018 roof developed ripples said Louie was a no call no show after weeks of calls to the office, and a January 2023 customer said nobody arrived for a scheduled 12/26 appointment. The finished jobs draw strong praise. An October 2026 Angi customer who got 7 quotes wrote that Nick's crew was punctual and that their mason fixed a cracking chimney top for an extra $1000. In an August 2024 review, a past roof customer said Louie came the same day after a branch took out a shed roof, and the crew replaced rafters, roof and gutters a few days later. An April 2022 review describes a whole-house roof replacement finished in 3 days as promised that ended winter ice dams, with Louis returning to fix a minor leak by replacing plywood and adding ice and water barrier. A February 2022 customer whose new roof and siding from another company leaked in driving rain said M&J explained the problem and did the repair. The company's website says it has been in business 32 years and offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0★ from 595 ratings, Google shows 4.5★ from 35 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. **Strengths:** - Roof replacements — 2022 review: whole house done in 3 days - Storm repairs — 2024 customer got a same-day visit after branch damage **Concerns:** - Missed appointments — 2023–2026 reviews report no-shows for visits - Warranty follow-up — 2024 and 2026 customers could not get older roofs inspected ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - An October 2026 customer said a 2019 roof is buckling and the company did not show for the inspection _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tGNlEwMDJVVlpoY0Zsb1MwZDFNWGhMVG1WME0zYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xc515319231dd206d!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkF6Q002UVZhcFloS0d1MXhLTmV0M3c%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “1★ Had my roof done in 2019, roof is now buckling.
