One customer said the company replaced their roof and showed pictures during each stage of the work, including how rotted the old plywood had become. A customer who hired Luis for a full roof replacement said he pulled all required permits and worked with the town to complete the final inspection. A customer who lives out of state said Luis walked them through a full roof replacement step by step and sent pictures during the whole job. A customer who had a roof, gutters and soffits done said Luis guided them through the entire process and that the price was the best of anyone they got quotes from. One customer said Luis and his team repaired their chimney. A customer said Luis did a gutter cleaning at a reasonable price. A customer who called about a leaking window said everything was explained and fixed appropriately. A 2026 customer described a bathroom remodel and said Luis also installed flooring in their basement and finished sooner than expected. A 2025 customer said Luis and his team installed two patio doors and two screens, out with the old and in with the new in a day. In 2025, a customer said Luis found the exact shingles to match their house roof when replacing the roof on their shed. A 2025 customer said the team arrived first thing in the morning and completed the entire roof in a single day. A customer who spent $20,000 on a new roof said they were happy with the installation at first. When a skylight installed as part of that roof replacement gave them trouble, the contractor they hired to fix it said the issue appeared to be related to the original installation; that customer said asking M2J about it brought a defensive response and then their messages were ignored. **Strengths:** - Progress photos — a customer said pictures came during each stage - Permits and inspection — a customer said Luis pulled permits and handled the inspection - Matched shingles — a 2025 customer said Luis found an exact match - A one-day roof — a 2025 customer said the whole roof took one day **Concerns:** - Skylight follow-up — a customer said skylight messages were ignored ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5★ from 31 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=M2J%20construction%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJoWrEDUfB54kR63y0oWvM3Ns) — “Google: 5★ from 31 ratings” - 4.6★ from 22 Thumbtack ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/waterbury/roofing/m2j-construction-roofing-experts/service/539476313688735766?spotlightWebMarkupEnabled=1) — “Thumbtack: 4.6★ from 22 ratings” - BBB grade of A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/waterbury/profile/construction/m2j-construction-llc-0111-110094065) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - A customer said the company showed pictures during each stage of a roof replacement _(confidence: medium)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/waterbury/roofing/m2j-construction-roofing-experts/service/539476313688735766?spotlightWebMarkupEnabled=1) — “5★ M2J Construction did an excellent job replacing my roof.
