The company says it has been in business for eight years, and its website gallery covers interior and exterior painting, decks, roofing and whole-home renovation. After a house fire, a customer hired Andrew for a complete down-to-the-studs remodel of the home, inside and out, and said he handled all the subcontractors. A customer said the company scrubbed, scraped and sanded an entire deck before repainting it. On an exterior painting project, a customer said Andrew understood the repairs and prep needed before painting, including sanding, wood repair or replacement, and power washing. A customer whose home exterior was painted said the job also gave the front porch a new door, columns and a refinished ceiling, and called the price reasonable compared with other quotes. A 2021 BuildZoom reviewer said Andrew and his team had painted kitchen cabinets and bedroom doors and installed a tile backsplash at their house in RI. A 2020 BuildZoom reviewer said they waited three months on a job that was supposed to take one to two weeks, and that the owner, Andrew, did not finish the job after he got paid. **Strengths:** - Exterior prep work — sanding, wood repair and power washing before painting - A deck repaint — a customer said they scrubbed, scraped and sanded first - A fire rebuild — Andrew handled the subcontractors on a down-to-the-studs remodel - A reasonable price — one customer compared it favorably with other quotes **Concerns:** - An unfinished job — a 2020 customer said Andrew left it unfinished after payment - A long delay — a 2020 customer waited three months on a 1–2 week job ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.9 stars from 81 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Ma%20%26%20Pop's%20Painting&query_place_id=ChIJ8ZWsj9FN5IkR3hp82m4abzY) — “Google: 4.9★ from 81 ratings” - Better Business Bureau grade of A- _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ri/warwick/profile/paint/ma-pops-painting-0021-570673) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A-” - The company says it has been in business for eight years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://www.mapopspainting.com) — “Self-reported 8 years in business” - A customer hired Andrew for a down-to-the-studs remodel after a house fire and said he handled all the subcontractors _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2pJMGFqWXdUM1pPYUdsSVJYZGhOelZHYTJwd1RFRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x366f1a6eda7c1ade!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjI0ajYwT3ZOaGlIRXdhNzVGa2pwTEE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ After our house fire we hired Andrew to handle a complete down to the studs remodel of our home Inside and out.
