## The honest read

Marchand Oil Co says it is a family owned and operated business that has served the Merrimack Valley since 1925.

A recent customer said they have used the company for home heating oil for more than 30 years, that it answers the phone and calls back when it misses a call, and that it provides 24-hour support and maintenance service.

A 2023 customer said they forgot to order oil before a trip, came home to a near-empty tank, called first thing in the morning and had oil delivered in less than three hours. A 2024 customer said they were happy with the oil supply service and with furnace maintenance and repairs. A 2022 customer said their family had used the company since moving there 25 years earlier and had their furnace serviced without ever feeling "ripped."

A 2021 customer said a yearly boiler maintenance left air in the oil lines and the boiler not functioning. That 2021 customer also said a slow leak followed the oil filter and gasket replacement, and later wrote that the oil filter gasket was not properly installed.

**Strengths:**
- Quick oil delivery — a 2023 customer had oil within three hours
- Returned phone calls — a recent customer said missed calls always get a call back

**Concerns:**
- Boiler maintenance trouble — a 2021 customer said air was left in the oil lines
