## The honest read

Old houses with rotted siding keep showing up in Marut Home Improvement's reviews. A November 2025 Google reviewer with a reproduction Cape says Chris cut and routed several siding pieces to match boards no longer made in that size, then came back on a Sunday to finish. The Shelton company does siding, windows, doors, gutters, roofing and decks, and its site says it has worked on Connecticut homes for over 15 years across Fairfield and New Haven counties.

The recent jobs are bigger than a patch. A March 2026 reviewer describes siding replacement, porch reconstruction, deck repairs, a kitchen vent, a roof extension with new roofing and holiday lighting in one scope. Another March 2026 customer had the roof, gutters and siding redone and a portico added, with updates through tough winter weather. A May 2026 reviewer in Trumbull had James Hardie siding and new windows installed, and says minor challenges on the old house were solved promptly. In September 2026, a homeowner says the crew found rotted structural studs while installing sliding doors and windows and repaired and reinforced them.

Price comes up in several reviews. An April 2026 customer says Chris honored a deck quote more than a year later. An August 2025 reviewer says its quote was the lowest-priced of about six or seven companies they contacted for a whole-house siding and gutter job. In a 2022 review, a homeowner says Chris was the only one of seven contractors to call back the same day about a flashing and soffit repair, quoted from photos, and did the job within a week.

A February 2025 reviewer says Chris kept his word on a tight midwinter deadline for CertainTeed siding, a gutter and a front railing, working through freezing temperatures. Smaller work appears too: an attic ladder in 2025, fascia trim repair in March 2026, and a basement vinyl floor in a 2025 review.

On Google it has 37 ratings averaging 5 stars. A 2025 Reddit commenter in r/StamfordCT pointed people to the company for siding, windows and roofing. The BBB rates it A+.
