## The honest read

Mass Landscaping & Snow runs two businesses under one truck fleet out of Worcester: yard work through the growing season, plowing and snow blowing once it turns cold. What keeps coming up across a five-year run of reviews is showing up when it counts — during a blizzard, or after another company left a customer stranded.

The company, run by Savas Kosmidis (reviewers often spell it Savvas) and described as family owned in a 2024 review, has built a deep record: 61 reviews from 2021 through 2026 across five platforms, a 4.9-star average from 101 Google ratings, and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. A February 2026 Worcester Guardian article quoted Kosmidis discussing one of the toughest snowfalls the area had seen in a decade.

On the landscaping side, the work goes beyond routine upkeep. A 2025 multi-phase yard renovation involved clearing trees, adding garden beds and mulch, and expanding the lawn; another 2025 project added a pondless waterfall by a patio after weeding and mulching the existing beds. Older reviews describe sod installation, brush pile removal, and leveling a yard section for an RV pad, with job-progress videos sent along the way.

On the snow side, several customers switched to this company after a previous plow contractor no-showed or dropped them mid-season, and the crew is repeatedly credited with clearing driveways too narrow to plow by snow blowing and shoveling instead — including for a customer managing a spouse's medical appointments and another recently widowed and suddenly handling snow removal alone.

Not every account is glowing: one customer reports weeks of unanswered texts and emails trying to get a quote scheduled, with no appointment ever confirmed, and a January 2026 review calls the company rude without elaborating. Given how many other reviewers describe quick responses, it's worth confirming a callback timeline up front.

For ongoing seasonal work — plowing through winter, cleanups and planting through the rest of the year — this is a company several customers have stuck with for two and three years running on both fronts.

**Strengths:**
- Storm coverage — plows when other companies don't show
- Handles tough driveways — clears narrow, non-plowable spots
- Full-scope yard projects — clearing, mulch, and hardscaping
- Long customer tenure — some clients return for years

**Concerns:**
- Scheduling gap reported — weeks of unanswered quote requests
- Isolated complaint — one 2026 review calls them rude, no detail
