## The honest read

Master Tile Kitchen & Bath Design says it has spent 20 years helping homeowners across the Connecticut shoreline with kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces. Its Google page shows 4.4 stars from 65 ratings.

A recent customer did a major bathroom remodel around an existing shower and said designer Erin built the room around it; that customer praised the installation crew's placement of the wallpaper-like tile and the cuts on the fluted wainscoting. A recent customer said they had already booked them to replace an old tub with a walk-in shower and a new tile floor.

A 2026 customer said Master Tile + Maestro Renovation Pro replaced their kitchen countertops and backsplash, and that the tile installers worked with precision. A 2025 customer, let down by a fraudulent bathroom re-modeling company, said Master Tile took over the project and brought plumbing, tiling, electric and decorating under the same contract. A 2023 customer said they renovated two bathrooms and replaced a kitchen backsplash with Master Tile, and that the installers cleaned up at the end of each work day. A 2023 customer who had a master bath remodeled and another floor re-tiled said the owner, Jhinson, was always responsive.

A 2024 customer who bought backsplash tile said Master Tile's estimator overordered it, leaving 6 full boxes plus a partial from 14, and that the company refused to take back the overage under its no-returns-after-30-days terms; that 2024 customer also said the $95 measuring fee was nonrefundable. A 2022 customer said a wooden piece of the floor they were promised would be removed was still there when the job was called complete, and that a mess was left behind. A 2026 customer who visited the shop said the people in the store showed minimal interest in their project. A 2025 customer said the sales person was busy chatting with regular customers and they did not get much help.

**Strengths:**
- Detailed tile work — a recent customer praised the fluted wainscoting cuts
- A takeover job — a 2025 customer said they took over after a fraudulent remodeler
- Daily cleanup — a 2023 customer said installers cleaned up each work day

**Concerns:**
- A tile overorder — a 2024 customer was left with six full unreturnable boxes
- An unfinished floor item — a 2022 customer said a promised removal was not done
- Showroom attention — a 2026 shop visitor said staff showed minimal interest
