## The honest read

A radon meter reading high, a customer ready to replace the whole system: in a June 2025 Google review, the customer wrote that Doug of MDL Radon Mitigation and Measurement LLC worked out that the radon fan had been turned off, and fixed it without charging a dime. The company's site says it is led by certified radon professional Doug Urisko, is certified by the National Radon Proficiency Program, and serves towns from Fairfield to Danbury and Ridgefield. It holds 5 stars from 62 Google ratings. Its Connecticut HIC license is active.

The installs come with numbers. A November 2025 reviewer wrote that Doug installed a two extraction point system in one day and a test afterward showed a drop from 14 to.04. In an October 2025 review, a customer wrote that Doug and Chris ran into more than expected on the job and still brought radon from 14 pC/l to less than 2.5 within a day. An April 2026 customer reported a level around 1.3 now from 4.6. A January 2025 reviewer wrote that Doug installed a super quiet system through radiant heated floors and discreetly out the roof.

The advice is where he holds back. In December 2024, a customer preparing for a sale wrote that Doug recommended a retest before installing, which saved them from a system they did not need. A November 2022 reviewer said Doug troubleshot over the phone and found that the noise was the HVAC system, not the radon system.

**Strengths:**
- Radon reductions — 2025–2026 customers report drops like 14 to.04
- Honest advice — a 2024 customer was told to retest, not install
- Free fixes — a 2025 fan problem was solved without a charge
