Its website lists chimney cleaning, inspections, liner installation, rebuilding, repair, sweeping and waterproofing; the company says it has been in business 14 years and names New Fairfield, Danbury, Bethel and Ridgefield as its service area. One recent customer said their chimney was falling apart and water was leaking into the basement. They wrote that Alejandro renovated the inside of the chimney, repaired the exterior cracks, replaced the chimney liner and cleaned everything, at a price they called very fair. A recent customer wrote that Alejandro and his crew replaced their chimney crown, installed a stainless steel liner and sealed the exterior brickwork, all done neatly. A fieldstone chimney got a complete overhaul and its firebox was cleared of many years of debris, according to a recent customer who called them professional and timely. A recent customer said they came out to diagnose the problem the very next day, then returned to complete the work within the two weeks they had promised. The work is not only chimneys: a recent customer said Alejandro and two other men applied stucco to the foundation of their 99-year-old home in two days. In a 2026 review, a customer who called about a water leak said Alejandro determined the cause and was back the following morning to take care of the problem and install a new cap. A 2024 customer said they hired Alejandro to service two gas fireplaces, that both were still not working afterward, and that he ignored their calls and emails once paid. A 2023 customer was satisfied with a chimney removal and rebuild but said the crew ruined their a/c condenser unit by standing on it and dropping cement onto the fan motor and coil; that customer said insurance took care of it after two months into summer without a/c. A 2022 customer said Alejandro came six hours later than scheduled and never sent the follow-up report he had promised after a chimney cleaning. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0672587, as active, held by Mejia Chimney Services LLC. **Strengths:** - Chimney liner work — a recent customer said Alejandro replaced the chimney liner - A neat crown job — a recent customer said the crown work was done neatly - A kept deadline — a recent customer said work finished within the promised two weeks **Concerns:** - Gas fireplace service — a 2024 customer said both fireplaces still did not work - A damaged a/c unit — a 2023 customer said cement fell on the condenser - A late arrival — a 2022 customer said Alejandro came six hours late ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.9 stars on Google from 93 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Mejia%20Chimney%20Services%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJiXNbrTf_54kRvhy06aCYyYI) — “Google: 4.9★ from 93 ratings” - Better Business Bureau grade of A+ _(confidence: medium)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/danbury/profile/chimney-service/mejia-chimney-services-llc-0111-110097437) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - The company says it has been in business 14 years _(confidence: low)_ - [Official Website](https://www.mejiachimneyservicesllc.com) — “Self-reported 14 years in business” - A recent customer said Alejandro renovated the inside of a failing chimney, repaired exterior cracks and replaced the liner _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21GR01WVnFaRVZNTVhRd2VWQkpSRzlIWTNkV01YYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x82c998a0e9b41cbe!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmFGMVVqZEVMMXQweVBJRG9HY3dWMXc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I can’t recommend Mejia Chimney Services enough!
