## The honest read

Mennillo Plumbing holds a 4.7-star average across 160 Google ratings. The company describes itself as family-owned and says it has served Fairfield and New Haven counties since 2008.

A recent customer who needed a laundry valve replacement said Bill came out the very same day and installed it. During a very rainy week, a recent customer said the company got a plumber out to repair their sump pump within two hours. A recent customer said they installed a low-profile, wall-hung combination water heater and boiler, and that energy bills were significantly reduced afterward.

A 2022 customer said the company did a complete replacement of their outdoor sewer pipes and re-routed the indoor piping to the new line. A 2022 customer who hired them to set a tub and reroute a drain line said the mechanic, Sean, cleaned the job site and removed all the garbage before he left. A 2022 customer who needed a furnace replaced said Bill squeezed them in the day they called and everyone stayed late so they would not be without heat overnight. A 2023 customer said they thought their well pump was bad, and the plumbers figured out a small pressure tank needed replacing.

A recent customer said they were charged $1500 to remove a leak-prevention device from a washing machine, a job they said took about 2 hours. A recent customer said $795 was charged for yearly water heater maintenance and an anode rod replacement, and that staff would not provide an itemized receipt. A 2025 customer said a visit about water heater corrosion was billed $280 for 1.5 hours with no real work, and that the promised estimate never arrived. A 2025 customer said a relief valve they replaced was leaking again the next year, and that the company then quoted nearly $1000 for a pressure package before a different company traced it to a faulty expansion tank. A 2024 customer said they were charged $564 for two leaking faucets that were not fixed and for redoing a drain job from six months earlier. A 2024 customer with a dripping shower said the technician proposed replacing all three cartridges or the whole shower body, and that a new valve gasket alone fixed it. A 2022 customer who had two toilets replaced said they were told $187 an hour plus a $30 disposal fee and were charged about $650, with no line items for parts.

Its Connecticut P1 plumbing licence, PLM.0285605-P1, held by William A Mennillo II, is active.
