## The honest read

MGM Renovations LLC is a remodeler with 4.8 stars from 45 Google ratings. The company's website describes it as family-owned and working across Connecticut for over 10 years, and lists free estimates. The Better Business Bureau gives it a C+ grade and lists one complaint.

A recent customer said they repaired a garage and roof, a job made complicated by a dip in the roof and the garage's supporting system, at a fair market rate, and stayed in contact through each stage when the weather threw the timetable off. A recent customer who could not be there in person thanked Christian for the details and pictures of a home repair. A recent customer had wood floors refinished and said Renarto and his team were on time.

A 2025 customer who bought a house with a ruined kitchen said Renato and his team cleared out the entire kitchen in two hours, replaced moldy sheetrock beside the sink, upgraded leaking pipes and valves and repainted, then over two days installed the cabinets, countertops, sink and dishwasher. That 2025 customer said the work took slightly longer than anticipated. A 2025 customer said Renato and his crew replaced and expanded an unusable deck and back steps, built a pergola, kept the customer up to date on material changes, their price and weather delays, and cleaned up every day.

A 2025 customer said Ranaldi and his crew repaired and painted five drywall holes in a condominium's walls and ceiling, made by another plumber looking for a broken pipe. A 2025 customer said Renato and his team turned a half bath into a full bath. A 2025 customer had vinyl flooring put in a full basement. A 2025 customer had a new chain link fence installed. A 2025 customer said Renato and his crew did a siding job and that he was communicative from the estimate to the closing of the permits.

A 2024 customer said Renato confirmed a siding job, with a contract laid out that needed only a signature and materials ordered to the building, then days before the start did not show, did not call and blocked the customer's number. A 2025 customer said they made two appointments and no one showed up or called.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0667482, as active, held by MGM Renovations LLC.

**Strengths:**
- Kitchen gut and rebuild — a 2025 customer said they demolished, repaired and installed cabinets
- Deck and pergola — a 2025 customer said a deck was rebuilt and a pergola built
- Roof and garage repair — a recent customer described a complicated roof dip repaired
- Wood floor refinishing — a recent customer said the team was on time

**Concerns:**
- A no-show siding job — a 2024 customer said the number was blocked before the start
- Booking no-show — a 2025 customer said no one came to two appointments
- BBB grade — a C+ grade and one listed complaint
