## The honest read

An August 2026 Google reviewer was told by a plumber that a bathroom subfloor had to come out. Mike came the next day, gave a written-out estimate, and said he did not believe the floor needed replacing; another plumber later fixed the toilet without touching the floor. That is the kind of call Mike Constructions LLC of Greenwich gets.

The company's site lists a service area of Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, Westport, Norwalk, New Canaan, Fairfield, Southport, Wilton and nearby towns, says it handles work from a single bathroom upgrade to a full commercial renovation, and offers free estimates.

A June 2026 Google reviewer had Mike fix a pipe that was pouring water. A June 2026 Thumbtack customer reached out to repair swimming pool salt cell piping, and Mike responded right away. A June 2026 Google reviewer describes an office project where Mike kept to schedule, gave updates on supply shortages and pricing changes, and advised on paint colors. Another June 2026 Google reviewer describes a major exterior renovation: aging brick and slate steps replaced, a portico rebuilt and the siding updated, with crews working through December and January.

In an August 2019 Angi review, a homeowner hired Mike to repair a second-floor porch deck with rot; the job doubled once the face boards came off, and Mike replaced the rotted wood with AZEC synthetic, caulked and repainted. In a December 2017 review, Mike and his crew refinished a basement, doing the drywall build-out and the painting. In an August 2017 review, he power washed a house and gave it a primer and two coats of stain within three days.

On Google the company shows 5 stars from 15 ratings; HomeAdvisor and Angi each show 4.8 from 68 ratings, and Thumbtack 5.0 from 12.

Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0669169, is active with the state, held by Mike Constructions LLC.

**Strengths:**
- Honest estimates — one reviewer saved a subfloor replacement on his advice
- Exterior renovation — steps, portico and siding in one June 2026 review
- Deck repair — rot repair and staining in 2017–2019 reviews
